Ms. Lamoureux is completing her 20th year as a principal in Highline Public Schools, beginning at Hilltop Elementary, Parkside Elementary for 12 years, and now at Beverly Park Elementary. She previously taught special needs and students with emotional and behavioral characteristics at Des Moines Elementary.
Ms. Lamoureux received her undergraduate teaching degree at Boise State University in her hometown of Boise, Idaho, and her MA in Special Education and Administrative credentials at Pacific Lutheran University.
She is the proud parent of two sons, both graduates of Washington State University. She enjoys her dog Ruby, gardening, reading, travel, watching sports, and the company of wonderful friends and colleagues. Ms. Lamoureux was awarded Administrator of the Year in 2016 by the Highline Schools Foundation.
Ms. Lamoureux states she continues to be inspired by the passion and drive of teachers and staff to ensure that every student discovers and realizes their unique gifts and talents to lift them to their fullest potential as a student, and throughout their life.
