My name is Rick Wisen and I am proud to be celebrating my 18th year as a building principal in Highline. I graduated from Washington State University with a BA in Humanities followed by a Masters in Teaching from City University. Later, I earned my administrative credential from Western Washington University. In 1998, I started my career in Education teaching at White Center Heights in Highline. After 5 years, I moved into an administrative support role at Madrona Elementary for two years (also in Highline).
In 2004, I formally began my administrative career as an assistant principal in the Kent School District and just completed my twelfth year as an elementary school principal; starting at Hilltop Elementary for seven years followed by 10 years at Des Moines Elementary. I continue to be inspired by the students and staff I work with every day and honored to be a part of Highline Public Schools.
